Pinky Memoir ~

10 years ago this was my first ride. It was 2001 and its my first year of collage. I need a ride for me to easily move around from home to collage, well actually for me to move around away from home and college. But the point is I need a ride that time. I was surveying many option and at the end. I end up with this little K-car. Actually I ran out of budget due to all of sudden college high college fees. Was aiming to get a Civic instead but dammed collage fees. This is my first car. Its a local car from Perodua called the Kancil. The tag line was Kancil- smart as you (sebijak anda) after a while of driving it and yes, I admit, the tag line was right. If I needed a parking lot...whenever theres a little space I think I can fit In, I'll go for it. Even the garbage space nicely for my little car. Its a blueprint taken from Daihatsu Mira, In japan they called it a Kei-Car (a small car that even can fit in a cornflakes box). Even thou Im a bit skeptic at the first place, after a while it was a fun car to drive - and a fun car to modified with.

I cant find the actual picture of the original car the first time I bought it. But here's a picture of my little Kei after a mint modified. Yes thats a VR4 intercooler taken from Evo's, not forgotten the juice inside. After 3 years Ibought this car, I decided to change the engine. A half cut of Daihatsu Mira L200 turbo was my first choice from the import chop shop.

after doing tons of modification and settings, dyno test is a must. Obviously I need to know how much that I get after tons of works on it.

oh i forgot, If you Googled Daihatsu Mira, you noticed that this car is not exactly like how the original Mira's look like. I do some mixup with the body works. The front bumper I mix the original local design with the Mira L500 bumper. ( the square sport light )

yes it runs with a 15inch buddy club

approximately I manage to get 108bhp. Thats a good start.

on Dec 2009 I decided to do some paint job on it. I was looking for something like a honda jazz signature pink. Why pink? There's few times when I join the err... illegal drag race. Most of the time I won. (yes I did) and theres a voice saying "oh man that car trash out by the pinkies" and its fun to hear it.

not the actually honda Jazz signature pink. They mistakenly setting the dry oven a bit longer than it should be and the end the color turn out pink-purplish

If im not mistaken, the Daihatsu Mira has more than 30 facelift, this is my 5th time changing the front facelift. This one called the Mira L5 hello Kitty edition with the chrome grill

at this moment I was thinking of a VIP without the Back ish. VIP in pink with chrome's

I fitted with the BBS 14inch bling bling

the love sound maker, a HKS ssqv. Kaaaccchhhiiinggggg

If you understand this, good. If you dont. It means " the owner of this care is cute "

a four point stabilizer to hold the mount in high speed

yes, thats a 220 max. The highest I ran this pinky on street was 210km. This meter cluster was taken from Perodua Myvi or known as Passo in Japan. I can say that me and my buddy NAY was among the first who tried fitting this cluster in to a Kancil and yes we did manage to fit it.

the interior ~ a MOMO steering and gear knob, Apexi AFC, APexi boost meter, Apexi turbo timer and a rear view mirror I bought when I was in Japan. Im a big fan of Apexi performance stuff.

a VR4 intercooler fitted with a RHF4 turbo taken from Subaru. This was my 4th turbo's. The first was TD04 taken from Mitsubishi, the second was Garret, third was TD04 L and this was the fourth.

Its a custom mix of RHF4 turbo

Not long ago, I think it was the 3rd month of this year. Pinky had an accident. Its the first accident the pinky had. A foreigner who just came here mistakenly the driving lane whack my car.

luckily theres a four point bar to protect the engine bay from total damage.

I miss those time where my hand are greasy with oil, stay up night at 3 am working on the car, fun ride and boosting up. Im thinking of rebuild back this little Kei soon.

my savior of the day

Working in a publishing world sure is a pain in the ass, especially when you're the person who responsible to juice out the creativity for everything. Even if it is pain in the ass, at the end when the final production is finally done. The satisfaction only can describe by the big long smile the face, its like making a donut spin with your drift car, its like burning the tyre and doing a lot of smokes and smell the burning rubber, its like wining a 24 le mans... ok I better stop now. Actually today can consider my bad day, its the moody day for me due to the client and my boss nagging bout the work needed to be done quick and my filing guy missing in action with loads of file missing along with him. Its my headache day. But just now something arrived on my table, something that I've been waiting for so long and its finally arrived and that thing made my day and Im started to smile back, its the smile that I describe just now.

oh lookie, a packaging from national post courier. I wonder what it could be, oh wait... theres a sender address.

yeay!  its the packages from zerotohundred (zth) !!!

and its containing the stuff that I order few weeks ago. The Japan GT 2011 ticket and passes! Not forgotten the cap, touch and go limited edition and the time to attack Sepang sticker! My heart feels like a 9 years old kid got a present from an imaginary santa!

any of you guys who are going, see you guys there! Im getting ready with my cameras and stuff. Probably i'll camp there for one night. Gotta look for my tent in the store at home. Im so excited it makes me cry T_T

Yosoko Japan - Part 1

While i was cleaning up my hard drive due to overload of files and pictures, I stumble upon this file containing the picture of my 6 month stay in Japan not so long ago. It was my first trip away from my home town that far alone. With some few people I know there, so It is not a problem at all for me to find a place to crash in for that long. Japan has and always will be one of my desire destination. And yes it's a place for you to go before you die. I want to share some of the pictures I found. ( before this I lost all the picture because of a virus, so glad I found it back even thou its only few of it. )

8 hours flight from Malaysia straight to Narita, Japan with Malaysia Airline without transit. I lost count on how many movies I've watch. I remember there were only 15 passenger on that flight.

after 8 hours of cracking my back and stoned, finally I arrived. Hello Narita Airport... I departed from Malaysia at 3pm and arrived here around 10pm. With the joy of arriving I received a call from my friend saying that she cant fetch me at that time and I need to take a bus or a train to her place. At that moment I was thinking.. "dayumm...how the hell am I gonna get there when I cant even understand and speak Japanese". For a while, I feel the importance of sign language and mutual understand. Then I decided to take the bus... well actually I have no choice, I need to take the buss due to the late night and lack of time to catch the next last train. And it is winter on that time... after 8 hours of flight then its another 4 hours bus trip to Yamanashi

I cant recall when I fall asleep in the bus, I miss my stop and I was a half hour away from the place where I should stop the bus. After my friend fetch me and arrived at home I totally fainted and lost in the winter breeze and fall asleep. Heres a picture of the neighborhood from the back yard on the next day.

a delivery at 7 in the morning

me poses in front of my friend crib

the best part about living in Yamanashi is its near to the famous mountain, the Fuji's mountain. Anywhere I go, I can still see the top of the mountain.

Yamanashi is only a small town surrounded by mountains

on winter theres rarely people going out from the house and most of the Yamanashi resident are out of town and its holiday season. No wonder I feel weird... where the hell did everyone go?

on the first week, I went all around the town for sight seeing and I really do enjoy scene

If i can recall back at the moment this picture was taken, we were at almost 8,000 feet above sea level. All I can remember is we were just driving up hill go all around and I didn't realized that we already this high.

the best thing about Yamanashi in winter is the sky always blue.

a special dinner from my friend due to my arrival

morning jog around the area and a visit to one of the temple

entertainment everywhere. Every where I go there must have this.

weekend drive in Yamanashi

tunnel everywhere

I saw this electronic signage saying its below -5 degree outside

entering tunnel again

and we're close to Fuji mountain

again, another tunnel

and we're arrived at the lake beside Fuji's mountain

welcome to lake kawaguchiko

'tachi' (duck) everywhere

the scenery is just... breath taking... when I walk around here looking at this beautiful scenery I totally forgot that its freakin freezing and my hands are turning blue.

blue berry farm

at that moment I totally fall in love with Japan...

sunset at Kawaguchiko's lake beside Fuji's mountain... more to come next in Part 2. I just wish I could share all of the pictures here but sorry due to limited space. Add me up in facebook http://facebook.com/lensariolist for more pictures
